Neeraj created history in Javelin throw and became a gold medalist athlete.

Neeraj Chopra was born on 24 December 1997 in Khandra village of Haryana. Neeraj Chopra comes from a poor farmer family and had become a victim of obesity at the age of 11, seeing his weight increasing, the family members advised Neeraj to resort to sports.

After this, he started going to Shivaji Stadium in Panipat to lose weight. Like Common Indian boys, his first choice was also cricket. But seeing the players practicing javelin throw in the stadium, it came to his mind that he can throw the good even further.

That’s why he got interested in javelin throw he stopped playing cricket. And then first since winning the gold medal in the Athletics Champion-ship in 2012, After this, In 2016 He Won the gold medal by throwing 86.48m in the World Championships held in Poland. And for this achievement, he got the post of Junior Commissioner Officer.

Neeraj’s father is a farmer, and his mother is a housewife. He lives in a joint family. No one in his family has a government job. His family is very happy for him. He continued his training along with the job. In 2018, he won the gold medal in the Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

After his excellent performance in these Asian Games, Neeraj suffered a shoulder injury, due to which he had to stay away from the game for a long time. But he made history by making a comeback at the right time and got India a gold medal.
