Actor Saif Ali Khan talks about his son joining the Indian film industry in a recent interview.
Saif Ali Khan has starred in some very enjoyable movies in his career which include Tanhaji, Cocktail, Love Aaj Kal, and Kurbaan; he was last seen in Pavan Kirpalani’s horror-comedy, Bhoot Police, which starred Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam and Javed Jaffrey in significant roles.
The actor, in a recent interview, made a statement about his eldest son, Ibrahim Khan, ready to make a career in the Indian Film Industry. Ibrahim is Saif’s eldest son. He is Saif’s second kid from his first wife Amrita Singh, the first one being actress Sara Ali khan.
Sara completed her education at Columbia University of New York. She started grabbing attention when she starred on the cover page of Hello magazine along with her mother. She was offered a lot of roles in the industry after producers started noticing her, but her parents wanted to complete her education first. She had her debut in the industry starring alongside late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Since then, she has starred in a lot of popular movies such as Coolie NO.1, Love Aaj Kal, and Simmba. Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh are some of the popular actors she has shared the big screen with.
Ibrahim completed his schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He later went to London to continue his academic career. He is very often featured in the headlines owing to his handsome looks and a striking resemblance to his father. He is often known as Saif Ali Khan 2.0 or junior Khan.
His social accounts are not yet public, but we can often catch a glimpse from Sara Ali Khan’s account. Sara frequently shares pictures and videos with Ibrahim while they’re on vacation or when they’re just goofing around.
As of now, Ibrahim is onboard with Karan Johar’s next project. If the reports are correct, the project will star Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt together. This will be the second project they’re working together on, the first being Gully Boy.
Ibrahim is currently assisting Karan as an assistant director in this project. Karan stated that he has no intentions of launching him as an actor. He has Ibrahim on the project just because Ibrahim wants to understand the intricate process of filmmaking.
This revelation has made the readers wonder if Ibrahim is working with the team on “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani“. The movie is a love story and will mark Karan’s comeback as a director. Karan has often been attacked for launching only star kids. He has launched a lot of star kids which include names like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aanya Panday through Dharma Movies.
Last year, Saif, in an interview, said that he is not sure if he is ready to launch Ibrahim in the industry yet. He said that he’s unsure about doing so because filmmaking is a very viable career for his son. He is sporty and likes the idea of being in a movie rather than an academic job.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan in this recent interview, when asked about his “equation” with his kids, Saif said, “They are all different. Ibrahim is assisting on a Karan Johar movie and sharing that and talking about what his ideas and dreams are. Sara is older and we have a very different equation.”
Moving on to baby Taimur and Jeh, Saif said, “Taimur is looking up to you for guidance and all that. Jeh is just smiling and drooling. You know, he is much more my mental age than any of them.”
We, as the audience, are expecting a lot of answers from the family. Can we expect Saif to launch Ibrahim as an actor anytime soon? What would his first movie be like? Is he ready to take on the job of an assistant director now?
