Bollywood movies that are copied from South Indian Movies

Indian cinema is one of the most significant film industry, especially in India. However, other movie industries, including Tamil Telugu Malayalam Kannada or not very small either. These industries are very much famous for the movies for a very long time, plus, they have the culture of doing so even now. But some movies are copied in Bollywood from these industries. These industries are together called the South Indian film industry or Tollywood. Here are some movies that were copied from the south film industry.

 

1.Force: In 2011, John Ibrahim and Genelia D’Souza starrer movie force were released. The plot of the story was actually copied from a Tamil movie Kaka Kaka: the police. The movie was starred Suriya and Jyothika, which was released in 2003. The film was about a drug dealer and the police action which came into a dreadful vengeance—the movie. However, John Ibrahim’s performance was very much praised by the audience as well as the critics who made it a blockbuster film. It was directed by Nishikant Kamat.
Wanted: The Salman Khan starrer movie wanted was one of the blockbusters of 2009. The movie featured Salman Khan, in which he played the role of the undercover agent who fights against the system by being the criminal. The movie was actually a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu In 2006, which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. With the marvelous acting and tremendous punchlines, the movie became a massive success for the actor. The movie was directed by Prabhudheva.

2.Bhool bhulaiya: In 2007 was directed by Priyadarshan. The movie created a huge buzz after the release, which was a copy of a Malayalam movie Manichithrathazhu. The film was released in 1993, featuring Shobana and Mohanlal. The success and grossing of the movie didn’t just result in a Bollywood remake; instead, the movie was also adapted for the Kannada, Tamil, and Bengali speaking audiences. The film is a psychological thriller with moments of horror and comedy come to mind. Bulleya was one of the Indian cinema’s finest movies that had audiences hooked to the screen. Akshay Kumar’s mustache look was much appreciated, and he was even praised for his dialogue delivery in the film. Though the movie received mixed responses from the critics, it was liked by the audience and became a blockbuster at the box office. 8.Drishyam: The original Malayalam version of the film was released in 2013, and later it was remade as Drishya in Kannada in 2014.
