Karan Johar And Alia Bhatt Commemorate 9 Years Of ‘SOTY’

Karan Johar commemorated nine years of Student of the Year on Tuesday; the film had marked the start of Alia, Varun, and Siddharth’s careers in Hindi cinema.

“Superstars who continue to give their entire best to the industry of cinema,” the filmmaker said of the three. Alia Bhatt spoke with the filmmaker and her co-stars Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra to commemorate the occasion.

Alia posted a photo of herself and Karan Johar striking a pose for the camera on her Instagram account. Varun and Sidharth are in a video conversation, and both of them are seen holding up their phones.

Alia looked stunning in the photo, dressed in a white ensemble. Her kohled eyelids, black bindi, and earrings added to her gorgeous appearance. In his colourful shirt and fashionable shades, KJo, on the other hand, looked as stylish as ever.

With Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year,’ Alia, Varun, and Sidharth made their big Bollywood debut. The trio has established themselves as one of the industry’s most skilled and sought-after actors. Sidharth Malhotra captioned the identical photo of himself and his co-stars on his Instagram story in the most beautiful way. He wrote, “The pupils and our mentor had a virtual reunion. SOTY has been around for 9 years.”

Sidharth Malhotra began his career as a trainee assistant director to Karan Johar for the 2010 film My Name Is Khan, after becoming dissatisfied with his modeling profession. His film Shershaah has become the most-watched film on Amazon Prime Video in India. Captain Vikram Batra, a Param Vir Chakra awardee, is played by Sidharth Malhotra in the film, which was released on August 12th.

When it comes to Alia Bhatt, she is one of the most talented actresses that Bollywood has ever produced. In 1999, she made her film debut as a child actor in a supporting part in her father’s thriller Sangharsh. Alia is the daughter of actor Soni Razdan and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. The actress has three siblings – Shaheen is her elder sister, while Pooja and Rahul Bhatt are her half-siblings. Her performance as a teen girl in Imtiaz Ali’s road movie Highway (2014) received positive reviews. 

The actor rose to prominence thanks to her roles in the road drama Highway (2014), for which she received a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress, and the crime drama Udta Punjab. Alia made her singing debut in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, a comedy-romance film.

Karan Johar, also known as KJo, is a Hindi film director, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, television personality, and actor. With the romantic comedy-drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), he made his directorial debut, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Director and the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay.

He is the son of producer Yash Johar. Johar has also dabbled with other aspects of the entertainment sector with success. He hosts Koffee with Karan, a dating show What the Love!, and a radio show Calling Karan, as well as serving as a judge on competition reality shows Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, India’s Got Talent, and India’s Next Superstars.

Talking about Varun, since 2014, he has been a part of Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, and he is regarded as one of the most versatile and energetic actor in the Indian film fraternity. 

About the trio’s upcoming films, Alia has roles in films such as ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ ‘RRR,’ ‘Takht,’ ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,’ and ‘Brahmastra.’ Varun is working on films like ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo.’ Siddharth, on the other hand, will next be seen in the film ‘Mission Majnu,’ in which he will co-star with Rashmika Mandanna.
