Plot: After discovering that he is an unplayable character in an open-world video game, a bank teller (Ryan Reynolds) resolves to become the hero of his storyline, one that he can rewrite himself. In a world without boundaries, he’s determined to save the day his way before it’s too late as the creator (Taika Waititi) of the game sets to destroy him and his friends and perhaps find love with the coder who created him.

The movie’s release was delayed by a year due to the covid 19 pandemic. However, upon its release, the movie received positive feedback from the audience and critics. The concept and combination of game features were highly praised.

Well, that was some information about the movie, now some news around the movie:

In a video shared by Ryan Reynolds, he drew a comparison between ‘Free Guy’ and most Bollywood movies.

For example, he described how the film features a hero who is “quite the Romeo” and a female who is “far out of his league.” There’s also “a crazy villain, some insane action, and, of course, dancing.”

Reynolds also said that “If you are wondering if Hollywood is mimicking Bollywood now, well, the answer is yes, we have no shame. No shame at all.”

In an interview with UNILAD, Gerard Butler was asked about Free Guy as many fans have been comparing the movie with Gerard’s 2009 movie ‘Gamer’. The Scottish actor responded, “I actually don’t know what Free Guy is”. After listening to it, Alexis Louder informed him that it was Ryan Reynolds’s new movie.

After learning what Free Guy is, Butler added another detail that may have startled Reynolds’ admirers. “Oh s**t is it,” he stated. Butler admitted, “I don’t watch Ryan Reynolds movies.”

Well, even Ryan then didn’t pull back, and gave an epic reply by sharing a post on Instagram.

In the post, Ryan shared a screenshot of Twitter feed which contained 2 posts; the first was shared by ‘People’ which had a link to an article of Gerard saying,” I don’t watch Ryan Reynolds movies: I actually don’t know what Free Guy is” and the 2nd was his tweet where he and his wife, Blake Lively, promised to match donations to American Civil Liberties Union and the NAACP Legal Defence Fund.

“Can you believe Gerard Butler doesn’t know what Free Guy is? Also, can you believe that the challenges to democracy have never been greater and that Blake and I will match your contributions to the @aclu_nationwide and @naacp_ldf? “Order of these questions optimized for the Internet, NOT importance.”, captioned Ryan.
