You, you are my Universe, and I just want to put you first”
Whenever BTS releases new music, they surprise ARMYs by finding new ways to include them in their tracks.
Exceeding our expectations with their new single as a collaboration with Coldplay is the sweet and heartwarming, My Universe. The song was released on the 24th of September and caused chaos in the city.
BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan, is the phenomenal South Korean K-pop septet that has taking the world by storm. It consists of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook; and collaborating with them is Coldplay, an outstanding British Rock band that was formed, in London. The band consists of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Phil Harvey.
Their song was released while the group of boys returned to their hometown in South Korea after their presence at the United Nations General Assembly. The fans who had been eagerly waiting to hear this track following the release of its teaser, went crazy when the song finally realesed on the 24th of September.
This three-minute and forty-eight seconds track is a part of Coldplay’s Studio Album ‘Music Of Spheres’, which consists of a repertoire of 12 songs. The song is a feel-good tune with its melodic beats and voices. The song was released as an MV on the British band’s Youtube channel. The MV featured a lyric video that was filled with splashes of color and breathtaking animation.
Earlier, the bands released a jam session of sorts as they sang their track before its release. The snippet not only gave everyone a teaser of the piece, but also gave them an insight into the recording process. In the video, the boys were seen wearing Coldplay merch and Chris Martin was seen wearing a BTS crew Hoodie.
After the release of the collaborative track, fans couldn’t wait for a day to see both the bands perform the song live together. And that too came to them at a hurling speed. Though both the bands couldn’t perform it together, it was still good to hear it live, which was at the Global Citizen Live event in New York.
This year a majority of the performances were live from Mumbai, India. The event was hosted by none other than PC, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who stunned everyone, including her husband Nick Jonas, with her blue dress as she opened and hosted the event live from the city of love, Paris.
The performance was spectacular as the audience cheered for the track, and singer Chris Martin even mentioned how the song wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the k-pop band. As the track played, we saw the boys through a prerecorded video that showed them grooving to the piece. Chris Martin melted ARMY’s hearts by taking the time and effort to learn the Korean words and their pronunciation.
