From superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan to Sonu Sood, Varun Dhawan and Tahira Kashayp here’s how bollywood joined hands to fight against Covid19.
Sonu Sood winning hearts during the Pandemic.
The biggest news regarding Bollywood celebrities during the fight against Covid19 was Sonu Sood. He successfully took the initiative of sending back the migrant workers to their native places who were stuck because of the lockdown. On May 11 for the first time the actor arranged for 10 buses which left from Maharashtra to Karnataka with 350 migrants who wanted to go back to their home town. The actor took the initiative and sent back the workers after being examined by doctors and he took permission form the government. After which the actor kept on finding put ways for helping the migrant workers, he launched a helpline number for the workers. He opened up his Juhu hotel to accommodate medical workers and provided meals for the unprivileged people in Mumbai as well.

Shah Rukh Khan was seen extending financial support to several charities including the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES), and Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund. He used all his set companies for the financial extend- Red Chillies, Entertainment, Meer Foundation, Kolkata Knight Rider and Red Chillies VFX. The couple also extended a helping hand to the health care workers by providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, daily wage workers and acid attack survivors.
Akshay kumar lends money to charites.
Akshay Kumar was found to be quite vocal about spreading awareness about the coronavirus pandemic using his social media handles. He requested the citizens to follow all the lockdown rules and corona regarded protocols. He repeatedly mentioned the preventions and precautions to decrease the spread of the virus. The actor extended financial support to a number of funds. He has donated 25 crores to PM-CARES fund, 2 Crore to Mumbai Police Foundation, 3 Crore to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and 45 lakhs to Cine And Tv Artists Association. Lastly, he participated in Bollywood biggest fundraiser concert “I For India” to raise money for those who were affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Farhan Akhtar donates 1000 PPE Kits
To help the healthcare workers Farhan Akhtar had donated 1000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to government hospitals across the country. Providing a helping hand to the workers to fight against Covid19. The actor also partnered with celebrity shout out to raise money for additional PPE kits for the medical workers. PPE kits were provided to not only hospitals but also to police stations.

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi joined hands with NGO ActionAid India to help 10 Lakh people hit with nationwide lockdown. The aim was to provide with ration, cooked meals and sanitization for the stuck migrant workers and daily wage laborers. It was led in almost 172 districts in 21 states.
“Being Haangryy” started by Salman Khan.
Salman Khan had started a food truck a facility to distribute ration to those who needed it during difficult pandemic times. The food truck was seen on Mumbai roads written “Being Hangryy” on it where volunteers were seen distributing ration kits to people standing in long ques. The actor was alos found to be speaking about “Anna Dhan” challenge where people had to donate for the underprivileged people during the Covid19 Pandemic.
Swara Bhaskar donates footwear.
Out of empathy for the migrant workers who wear walking barefoot Swara Bhaskar donated footwears for the workers. She joined hands with Action and Altheo Shoes to provide for footwear for the migrant workers. As a part of the collaboration the actor donated 500 pairs of shoes in Delhi along with on-ground volunteers.
Ayushmann Khurrana with wife Tahira Kashyap step up for women.
The couple called for financial assistance to support the women artisans during the trying times of the Pandemic. They joined hands with the Shakti Foundation NGO who work for the upliftment of women taking varied social initiatives for the socially and financially vulnerable.

As a thank you to the corona warriors- the police officers for their inexplicable service during the crisis superstar Hrithik Roshan made a contribution for safeguarding their health and safety. He facilitated the Mumbai Police on personal duty with hand sanitizers.

In collaboration with Tata Trust Varun Dhawan provided meals for the poor people who are out of their jobs due to the coronavirus lockdown and are homeless as well. The actor also stepped up for frontline workers risking their lives and committed to provide meals to doctors and medical staff at hospitals.

The Bollywood diva announced her finally indulging in social media during the lockdown period. She posted a picture of Saif Ali Khan reading a book and they spending time together. During the lockdown Priyanka Chopra became a proud pet parent. The actor stayed at home with her furry babies Diana and Gino. She spread a message with it saying staying at home is the safest thing to do during this worldwide distress.
