There were only a few movies released during 2020 due to the covid-19 and has been postponed to be released in the year 2021 or were released on streaming services on the demand of the public. Here are a few actors who made their stand worthwhile in the Bollywood industry.
Deepika Padukone:

She was a badminton player during her teenage years but left sports to come to be a fashion model. She has told the media that she was an introverted child and didn’t gain many friends. she Initially worked for television commercials for the soap company Liril.
She also joined a course at Anupam Kher’s film academy which gained her more attention. She acted in many films like Karthick Calling Karthick, Love Aaj Kal, Housefull and many more good feel movies. She acted in a movie called Cocktail which became the turning point in her life. Deepika Padukone is seen to be a strong woman who stands up for herself. When asked the teenagers who their role models are, without further thinking they would say it’s ‘Deepika Padukone’. She sets the stage on fire with her perfect dance moves and won the hearts of many people.
Ranbir Kapoor:
The star kid who is the best in this generation. Many call him the finest actor of Bollywood. He was born into a family of popular actors. He showed little interest in his studies and loved sports more. Though he was born in a family that had great expectations, his first film was a failure. After 10 films, he achieved a huge leap in his career. He has also been featured on The Times of India’s listing of the Most Desirable Man. He also made commercials for Pepsi, Panasonic, Lenovo, and many more. He also received around six Filmfare Awards. He also acted in movies like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Roy, Tamasha, Besharam, Barfi, Wake Up Sid, and many more.
Alia Bhatt:
One of the highest-paid actresses in India. She was born in Bombay to an Indian film director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. She always aspired to be an actress from a very young age. Her first leading role was a movie in Karan Johar’s teen drama Student of the Year in the year 2012. She made several films like 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Dear Zindagi, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. She also won the FiStates Critics Award for Best Actress for playing a role in a movie called Highway. She also played a supporting role in Kapoor and Sons which became a great success. She also started her own production company called Eternal Sunshine Productions. She played role in many commercials like Coca-Cola, Garnier, and Maybelline. The days were Alia Bhatt was trolled and now she is a queen that stole the heart of many.
Akshay Kumar:
Akshay Kumar was an actor, martial artist, and producer of the Bollywood industry. Lunar has appeared in over 100 films and has won numerous awards. He was interested in sports and loved wrestling. Kumar made his first appearance as a lead actor was in the movie Sugandh. He received two Filmfare Awards though he was nominated for 13 nominations. He also received the Best Villain Award for Ajnabee and Best Comedian Award for the movie Garam Masala. He made movies that were great blockbusters like Namaste London, Hey Babyy, and Bool Bulaiyya. The Audience loved him for all the dramatic roles he took up. He is also known as Khiladi Kumar as he did many films with a third ‘Khiladi’ on it. He was also honored with the Padma Shri Award in the year 2009. He never let his age be a barrier to his growth.
Kangana Ranaut:
Kangana Ranaut is an Indian actress. She was born in Himachal Pradesh and has always aspired to be a doctor at the affirmation of her parents. She portrayed a beautiful role in movies like Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro, and Fashion. A very outspoken person in both her public and private life. She never failed to voice out her opinions and has been loved by certain people for it. As a child, she never failed to break the stereotypes. Varun is one of the highest-paid celebrities in the Bollywood industry. The brain has been loved by all teenage girls. He also made many roles in movies like Student of the Year, Main Tera Hero, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Dishoom, and Bhagalpur. He also hosted many award ceremonies. He is both confident and a charming actor who never neglects to stand out in the Bollywood industry.
Katrina Kaif:
An English actress who worked in Hindi films. She started her career as a fashion model. She was slowly bought into the cinema industry by many filmmakers. The only drawback was that she did know Hindi. She appeared in a Telugu film Malliswari which earned her great success. She also made films like Raajneeti, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom 3, and Bang Bang. She also made films with great legends like Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar. She won the ‘Best on Screen Jodi’ in the movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan as a co-star.
Kartik Aaryan:
A recent emerging favorite actor in the Bollywood industry. An engineer who always wanted to get into the field of modeling. After struggling for almost three years, he made his first acting debut Pyaar Ka Punchnama in the year 2011. The turning point in his career has to be the movie ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’. He has won many awards at a very young age. The audience is waiting eagerly on the release of his next film that soon has to be published.
Bollywood during the 2000s has been a massive success. The films that were produced during this era were completely a treat to the audience. Though the year 2020 has not been a great accomplishment due to the pandemic that hit all of us. The movies were released on the OTT platforms to continue entertaining the audience.
