It’s not unusual for movies release dates to jump around the calendar, but we’ve witnessed a unique set of circumstances caused by COVID-19. A lot of movies finally arriving in 2021 were due out in 2020, and while a vaccine is already starting to roll out across the globe.
With that in mind, we have a list of release dates highly subject to change, especially in the early part of 2021. We’ve also noted where a theatrical release is day-and-date with a streaming release, as will be the case with all Warner Bros. movies in 2021 when they simultaneously release HBO Max.

HOUSE OF GUCCI:
Release date – 26 November 2021
This high-profile Film stars Adam Driver and Lady Gaga in the lead roles of Maurizio and Patrizia Gucci, the couple who once helmed the Gucci brand. The Film Chronicles their tumultuous relationship leading up to the death of Maurizio in 1995, for which Patrizia became the prime suspect.
The film is helmed by legendary director Ridley Scott and adapted by screenwriter Roberto Bentivegna from Sara Forden’s The House of Gucci: A sensational story of Murder, madness, glamour, and greed.
LAST NIGHT IN SOHO:
Release date – 22 October 2021
This psychological horror film directed by visionary director Edgar Wright focuses on a young girl who finds herself in 1960 meeting her fashion idol. The film boasts of a star-studded cast consisting of Anya- Taylor Joy, who is coming off the terrific year 2020.
She is accompanied by Matt Smith and Thomason Mckenzie in this venture. The script is written by Wright himself with Krysty Wilson- Cairns based on an original story by Edgar Wright.
SPENCER:
Release date – September 2021
Kristen Stewart is set to play the iconic role of Princess Diana in this biographical film. Written by Steven Knight and directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larrain, this Film will focus on the eventful weekend over which Princess Diana decided to separate from Prince Charles.
The Film features many big names such as Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, and Jack Farthing in crucial roles. The Production of the Film is underway.
KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON:

Veteran filmmaker Martin Scorsese is back with another great project. Based on the non-fiction book of the same name, Killers of the Flower Moon is set to take us back to the initial years of the FBI investigation into Osage County murders in 1920.
This Film reunites famous Scorsese collaborators Robert De Niro and Leonardo Dicaprio with breaking bad veteran Jesse Plemons playing the leading role. The film is being adapted by legendary screenwriter Eric Roth who is behind the script of classics like Forrest Gump. The Film is set to begin filming in May 2021 and is backed by Apple TV+.
THE BATMAN:
Release date – 4 March 2022.
One of the most anticipated films of recent times. Batman is set to redefine the legendary character on the big screen. With Matt Reeves helming the project and Robert Pattinson set up to play the guitar the titular role, this project is one many have their eyes on.
The Film boasts many other great actors like Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, and Paul Danno. With a significant focus on Batman’s younger years, the Film is expected to bring something new to this character’s legendary history.
