The reality TV star and the Blink-182 drummer are taking the media world by storm, as news of their engagement made the headlines on every platform.
The couple got engaged on Sunday, October 17th at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Montecito, California. Gracing this wonderful occasion was the reality star’s Momager Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, sister Khloe Kardashian and her baby daddy Tristan Thompson as well as other family members. The drummer’s two kids were also present at the celebration, who gave their thumbs up at their father’s gesture.
Travis proposed to Kourtney in the middle of a massive heart-shaped floral arrangement surrounded by candles. The family had a nice, private family dinner and relaxed around the mesmerizing scenery. The Miramar Hotel is a cute getaway place for the couple, and they often stay there, so the venue was chosen keeping its significance in mind, as reported by sources.
Tabloids reported that the couple had been thinking of marriage for quite some time, as they learned to blend families and create something special between them. And as soon as this news made headlines, Kourtney took to her Instagram to announce her love for her fiancé. She did it by posting a picture of the two embracing and captioned it, “forever @travisbarker,” to which Travis Barker replied “Forever.”
Within a few minutes of this post, everyone went crazy in the comments section, sending their wishes and love for the couple’s announcement. There were wish-filled comments from celebrities like Winnie Harlow, Addison Rae, Lily Aldrige, etc. Comments from the star’s sisters were also present as both Khloe and Kim showed their love for their sister’s engagement.
Kourtney and Travis have always been a PDA-loving couple and always showed the world how much they love each other. Their fans immediately were happy as the news hit the media platforms. On the other hand, with Scott Disick, insiders reported that the star was not taking the news happily. Scott has always wanted to reconcile with Kourtney. And he tried to do so throughout the seasons of Keeping up with the Kardashian. But, unfortunately, she chose to not reconcile and start afresh.
Another fact about this engagement that made fans happy was the work and love that was put into creating Kourtney’s ring. Travis had the engagement ring made by the Kardashian-Jenner go-to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. “It’s a flawless, beautifully cut diamond stone,” said Schwartz to people. And the designer even mentioned how the drummer played a huge role in the making process of the ring as well as being hands-on with the process.
The ring’s designer is quite famous around other celebrities as a designer; she has previously created jewelry for other celebrities like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and even Angelina Jolie.
