On August 27th was born an epic collaboration. The collaboration of sensationally dominating boy band group BTS And the Grammy award-winning Megan Thee Stallion. Though the collaborated piece now released was quite celebrated, it wasn’t so easy to get to that point. The ‘savage’ singer had to go to court to fight for the release of her collaboration teaser with them on their second English single, “BUTTER.”
The artist was quite excited about this collaboration and looked forward to expanding her international fan base. The rapper was very eager to share the track with the world. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t as smooth as Butter. And the cause of this was her label.
Megan’s label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, did not let the artist release the track, saying that the collaboration would be bad for her career. She said that it was all ‘nonsense’ and that the label just wanted her to pay for the sign-off to release. They even tried to get BTS to pay a hundred thousand dollars in advance for the remix.
Following this, the rapper accused her label. Moving forward with the legal procedures to gain the rights of the release, Megan filed a petition against the label and its CEO, Carl Crawford, stating that they were withholding Megan’s collaboration release.
With all this broadcasted on the news, fans also pointed out that this isn’t the first time she went head to head with her label. Previously the Grammy award winner had a similar problem with her label. This occurred when she was announcing her album Suga Ep.
The rapper was ecstatic and immediately jumped on Twitter, showing her excitement and sending her love by Tweeting, “Y’all don’t even understand how excited I am,”

The track dropped on the 27th, and it caused a commotion all around the world. Fans were happy to see this remix of ‘Butter.’ As many versions of it were released priorly. The song stuck to its original sequence and structure. But, what gave it an unexpected wow factor was the rapper’s verses which swiftly managed to wow us all.
Known for putting out chart-topper and spitting amazing verses, this collab was highly anticipated and well-received. Genuine efforts were seen by Megan thee stallion as she took in mind the South Korean culture and refrained from swearing. The fans were touched and even joked that BTS had the power to Make artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj (from a previous collab) refrain from swearing.
The song is a perfect summer song that makes you want to dance. And the collaboration adds even more to the theme. Smooth like Cocoa Butter is strictly the vibes we get from this song.
