Ranveer Singh – The Entertainer Of Bollywood Enters Television

Ranveer Singh Bhavnani is an Indian actor born on 6th July 1985. Ranveer made his acting debut in 2010 with Band Baaja Baaraat. Since then, he has made a name for himself within the Bollywood industry and the audiences as well.

Singh has always been a part of the latest news for his incredible acting performance, unique fashion sense, or for some other thing.

Ranveer Singh is all set to make his debut on television. He will act as a host for the visual-based quiz show, The Big Picture which will be shown on Colors and streamed on Voot and Jio TV every Saturday and Sunday from 16th October 2021.

Format of the show: The Big Picture is a next-generation quiz show focused on knowledge and visual memory, in which competitors solve 12 visual-based questions for a chance to win a 5-crore prize. When the image shows on the screen, the participants will be given multiple-choice answers to choose from. They will have 60 seconds to press the buzzer and commit to an answer, and for each accurate response, they will have a chance to win huge. The show’s main feature is that the participants can choose from ‘India Waale’ and ‘Ghar Waale’ lifelines.

When asked why he chose a quiz show for his TV debut, he stated that he had received numerous offers over the last six years, but either the format was not attractive or it had already been done by others. He was also offered and invited to host some existing shows. However, when Colors approached him with The Big Picture, he felt as if the stars had aligned and everything had fallen into place. He was also captivated by the format of a quiz show since his childhood.

Talking about his experience working on television, Ranveer says that he felt it to be more difficult than movies. While comparing between the movies and the television show, he said that, in movies, one has a character as a filter and dialogues to say but in television, one has to be himself/herself and needs to be spontaneous about what to say. 

In his personal life, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been married since 2018. The duo has appeared in several successful films together. In an interview, Ranveer was asked what his wife thought of him working on a television quiz show, to which he replied that Deepika always provides constructive feedback for him, which he takes extremely positively. He showed her his trial sessions, and she gave him some advice and raised some excellent points. He noted those points and implemented them. He is extremely grateful to have a clever woman as a partner, who helps him improve his work through constructive feedback.

On the movie front, Ranveer Singh will be seen with Alia Bhatt for their upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The shooting is set to start on 15th October 2021 in Delhi.

The stars of the movie have planned to reach Delhi a day or two before the shooting starts. The duo is likely to stay 20 to 25 days in Delhi for the shooting.

As per sources Karan Johar, the director of the movie has completed some indoor shooting of the movie with Dharmendra.

The movie also stars Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Preity Zinta alongside Ranveer, Alia, and Dharmendra.

Ranveer was so taken away with a viral video of a child from Arunachal Pradesh dancing and singing to “Apna Time Aayega” that he has uploaded it on his official Instagram account.

“This little Monpa kid…..is my spirit animal !!! You’z a whole vibe, my lil’ brotha ! #loveit #apnatimeaayega.”, Ranveer captioned the video.

The song is from the 2019 movie directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy. The movie is inspired by the lives of rappers Divine and Naezy. The movie stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Varma, Amruta Subhash, and Vijay Raaz.

Ranveer Singh will next be seen on television on the show, The Big Picture, and in cinema halls with the upcoming movie, 83.
