Kerala offers you a wide range of options, from chilly mountains to beautiful beaches, if you are looking for a nice spot for your vacation. Let’s look at the 5 best places you must visit when you are in Kerala.

1. Alappuzha (Aleppey)

Alappuzha is known as the “Venice of the East,” and the place does complete justice to that name. The backwaters of Alappuzha are a sight to behold. A houseboat cruise in the backwaters on a bright day is an experience to be cherished. Alappuzha is one of the most popular travel destinations in Kerala. Apart from the peaceful backwaters, Alappuzha offers various other options like the Alappuzha beach, ayurvedic therapies, village walks, several beautiful temples, and the local culture and food of Kerala.

The view of the mighty Western Ghats, the bright sky, and warm chai are all you need to make your day shine brighter. Munnar is home to many endemic and endangered species like the Nilgiri Thar, Nilgiri Wood-Pigeon, the Grizzled Giant Squirrel, and the Neelakurinji, the beautiful flower which blooms only once in 12 years. The waterfalls, lakes, and caves make it a paradise for tourists who wish to escape the city lights and crowd.
