Born in Udgir, India, on 1st February 1957, Jai Kishan Kakubhai, popularly known as Jackie Shroff, appears in the Hindi cinema industry for many years. Till now, he has appeared in over 220 films in 13 languages. From the speeches he has acted in, some of the prominent presence has been in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Punjabi, Konkani, Bhojpuri, Urdu, Gujarati, and English. Early life & career

Born as Jai Kishan kakubhai Shroff in Bombay, Jackie Shroff is of mixed ethnicity- Indian and Turkmen ethnicity. His maternal grandmother came to Ladakh and seven other daughters and finally migrated to Delhi and then to Mumbai. Once upon a time, they were merchants and traders, yet they lost all their money in the stock market, and his father had to leave home just at the age of 17. As a youngster, Jackie Shroff used to model in a few advertisements, including the Savage perfumes. Till now, Jackie Shroff regularly revisits his childhood home.

Shroff had married his longtime girlfriend Ayesha Dutt, who was then a model and later became the film producer. Now the couple holds the media company Jackie Shroff Entertainment Limited. They also have two children, namely Tiger Shroff and Krishna Shroff.
