Shahid Kapoor was born on 25th February 1981, is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. Initially, he was recognized for portraying romantic roles, he has since taken on parts in action and thrillers films, and he is also the recipient of several awards, including three Film fare Awards.

Career and Background
Kapoor was also noticed in the Aryans’ music video “Aankhon Mein” that producer Ramesh Taurani wanted to cast him in a film. However, after meeting with him, Taurani thought that Kapoor, who was 20 years old at the time is too young and underweight to become an actor and told him to wait for a few years. Kapoor meanwhile, turned down into a lead role in N. Chandra’s sex comedy Style in the hope of working with Taurani. After a few days, Taurani found a suitable project for Kapoor in the teenage romance Ishq Vishk film in 2003, which Ken Ghosh was directing for his company. Early life
Shahid Kapoor was born in New Delhi on 25th February 1981 to actor Pankaj Kapur and actor, dancer Neelima Azeem. His parents get divorced when he was three years old. His grandparents were journalists of the Russian magazine Sputnik, and Kapoor was particularly attached to his grandfather. “He would walk me to school every single day. His father was then a struggling actor in Mumbai would visit to Kapoor only once a year on his birthday. In Mumbai, his mother went on to marry the actor Rajesh Khattar. Kapoor uses the last name Khattar on his passport. Kapoor continued living with his mother and Khattar until they separated in 2001. Kapoor completed his studies at Gyan Bharati School in Delhi and Rajhans Vidyalaya in Mumbai. He later did his graduation from Mumbai’s Mithibai College for three years.
As a student, Kapoor appeared as a background dancer in the films Dil Toh Pagal Hai in 1997 and Taal in 1999, in which Davar was a choreographer. Kapoor next played the role with director Vishal Bhardwaj to film Haider in 2014, which was an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet during the Kashmir conflict of 1995, in which he played the titular role with Tabu and Shraddha Kapoor. It was the toughest of his career, as Kapoor described the film, and waived his fees to star in it. For this role, Kapoor shaved his head and learned to speak in Kashmiri. The movie Haider gets controversial among Indian nationalists for its portrayal of the conflict in Kashmir. Sanjukta Sharma of Mint found that the film is an “immensely effective re-imagination of Shakespeare” and incredibly honored Kapoor for playing his part with “impressive zest and inventiveness.” Writing for Hindustan Times, Anupama Chopra wrote that Kapoor seemed uncomfortable while performing his role in the complex central, but also added that he “slowly comes to inhabit Haider. For this role, Kapoor won several awards, including the Screen Award, Producers Guild Film Award, and Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
In his third collaboration with Vishal Bharadwaj, an epic romance story during World War II entitled Rangoon (2017), Kapoor played the role of a taciturn soldier who develops a romance with Kangana Ranaut, a film actress played. Filming was spoil by a reported feud between Ranaut and Kapoor; both stars publicly commented against each other. The film received mixed reviews. Rajeev Masand termed the film “overlong, indulgent to the point of exhaustion”, but supported Kapoor for playing his part with “remarkable maturity”. In addition, Uday Bhatia of Mint was appreciated with the love chemistry between Ranaut and Kapoor played in the film. But this film failed to recoup its ₹610 million investment.
