B – Town Stars Descending From Royal Families

It is insane and impossible to measure the affection Bollywood celebs receive from their fans. In India and even globally, actors are considered royalty by their fans. But here are some real-life Bollywood celebrities who, long before they joined Bollywood, had seen royalty. Here are several celebrities from Bollywood who come from royal families.

#1: ADITI RAO HYDARI

First up is the gorgeous Bollywood diva,  Aditi who descends from the two royal bloodlines of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari and J. Rameshwar Rao from the family of former Wanaparthy Raja, Aditi decided to act and began her Bollywood career in 2007. She is the great-granddaughter of Akbar Hydari who was the former Prime Minister of Hyderabad state (colonial India) and the grandniece of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, the former Governor of Assam. Aditi is the granddaughter of Raja J Rameshwar Rao, who was in charge of the administration of Wanaparthi during colonial India, and Shanta Rameshwar Rao, a highly regarded educator in Hyderabad District, founder of Vidyaranya School, and president of Orient Blackswan Publishing House. She is a classical Bharatanatyam dancer, who made her acting debut with the acclaimed film Sringaram by Sharada Ramanathan and rose to fame after her appearance in Yeh Saali Zindagi’s Sudhir Mishra. In 2012, she was the female lead of the London Paris New York film opposite Ali Zafar, and later became part of Mahesh Bhatt’s Murder franchise -Murder 3  (2013)Aditi is best known for portraying in Murder 3 (2013), Rockstar, London, New York, and Yeh Saali Zindagi.

 

#2: SAIF ALI KHAN 

Saif Ali Khan, called Sajid Ali Khan at birth, is a famous Bollywood actor and film producer. He’s the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. He is the recipient of Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civil honor. Formerly married to Amrita Singh, but later married to Kareena Kapoor. He’s got three kids—two with Singh and one with Kapoor. Khan has two younger sisters, Saba and Soha Ali Khan. He made his debut with Parampara (1993), followed by Yeh Dillagi and Main Khiladi Tu Anari (both 1994). His other successful films are Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Hum Tum (2004), Parineeta (2005), Salaam Namaste (2005), Omkara (2006), Kurbaan (2009), Race (2008), Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Cocktail (2012).

 

 

#3: BHAGYASHREE

Bhagyashree Patwardhan is an Indian actress. She made her debut with the film Maine Pyar Kiya, for which she received the Best Female Debut Film Fare Award. She starred and also worked on TV, debuting in the show Kachchi Dhoop and more than 20 films. Bhagyashree comes from the royal Sangli family of Maharashtra. Sangli Raja, Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan is her father.    She is the eldest of his three children, the other two, Madhuvanti and Purnima. In 1989, the screen debut with Salman Khan in her highly acclaimed Maine Pyaar Kiya, where she played Suman. This is still her greatest and most popular film to date. Her husband is Himalaya Dasani. She has two children out of which her son, Abhimanyu Dasani, was awarded the Best Male Debut Film Award last year for the film mard ko dard Nahi Hota.

 

 

#4: IRRFAN KHAN

The true gem of Bollywood who had recently passed away, one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, also had some royalties. His name of birth was sahabzade Irfan Ali khan. He was born in the village of Tonk, Jaipur, to a Muslim family of Pathans. His mother, Saeeda Begum Khan, belonged to the royal family of tonk hakkim. His father, Yaseen Ali Khan, was a successful zamindar. In his film career, he has received numerous awards for his excellent works, including the National Film Award, the Asian Film Award, and many Filmfare awards. He is also the recipient of Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civil honor in India. He started his journey by making his debut at Salaam Bombay (1988), after which he had to struggle for quite a few years. He went on to receive international recognition for his performance in namesake (2006). He had another breakthrough after his amazing appearances in the lunchbox(2013), piku (2015). He is one of the few Bollywood actors who have also worked in Hollywood. He died unexpectedly on 29 April 2020 due to a relapse of a colon infection.

#5: PARVEEN BABI

One of the most glamorous, mysterious, and veteran Bollywood actresses, literally the Queen of Hearts, also belonged to the royal family. She is known for her groundbreaking roles in the 1970s and early 1980s.

Born in 1954 as the only child of the royal family of Junagarh who belonged to the Babi dynasty of Pashtuns popularly known as the Gujarat Pathans. Her father, Vali Mohammed Khan Babi a system administrator with the nawab of Junagarh during the colonial era. She had a big breakthrough in movies like Majboor (1974) and Deewar (1975). Her personal life was not that good in terms of relationships. She died of multiple organ failure and mental illness on January 20, 2005.

 

#6: RIYA SEN

The youngest daughter of the famous Indian actress Moon Moon sen this Bollywood Beauty also has some royalties, which were also a reason for her inclination to Bollywood movies. Her father, Bharat dev Verma, belongs to the royal family of Tripura, and her mother-in-law is Ila Devi, who was the princess of Cooch Behar and nephew of maharanigayatri Devi of Jaipur. Her mother moon sen and grandma Suchitra are very famous veteran actors of their time. She did some decent roles in some low budget movies like Styel (2001), Shaddi No. 1 (2005).

 

#7: SONAL CHAUHAN

The breathtakingly beautiful and gorgeous sonal is one of the prettiest actresses in B-City. It may be her royal genes to be grateful for her beautiful face and radiant eyes. She primarily works in Telugu movies but came in with her debut in Jannat (2008) next to Emraan Hashmi. She was born into the Rajput family which descends from royal lineages. . she was also crowned as the miss world tourism in the year 2005.

 

#8: SAGARIKA GHATGE

Sagarika one of the many women in the iconic movie – Chak de India focused on women’s sports. she not only became famous because she was opposite the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan but also has some royal relations.

she belongs to the town of Kolhapur in the Maharastra. She comes from the former royal family of Indian Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur with her father Vijaysinh ghatge belonging to the royal family of Kagal and her grandma being the daughter of Tukojirao Holkar III. She’s a professional athlete and she’s also a model. She also did some reality shows like fear factor and khatron ke Khiladi, where she was a runner-up.

 

#9: ALISA KHAN

Alisa Khan, who was in the news recently because of her riches to rags tale. This model turned into an actress who was making a film opposite Emraan Hashmi, who had recently been seen roaming in the streets after reportedly being thrown out of her home.

Interestingly, she belongs to the family of Wazir ghazi-ud-din, who founded the city of Ghaziabad. She was seen in a major role in my husband’s wife’s film, and she was also part of some music videos. Some reports say that due to some conflict with her supposed ex-boyfriend, her mother and her brother had deserted her and that she was forced to take shelter in a friend’s home.
